Flex line isolators are used when the isolation of the measurement ground from mains ground is needed in order to avoid electrical interference from coldheads in low temperature applications. Most pulse tube based coldheads allow to do this on the connection to the rotary valve.
However, when using GM cryocoolers or pulse tube based coolers without this possibility one can isolate the cold head from the helium compressor at the flex line connections for high and low pressure supply.
Our standard Flex Line Isolators have commonly used Aeroquip 1/2” connectors with low flow resistance and can be attache to most cold heads without changing the setup. For full isolation of the GM cold heads motor ground from mains supply has to be replaced with measurement ground as well.
